Eco-justice Jottings

EARTH SUDS VIDEO

The video on making eco-friendly laundry liquid is now available for borrowing or purchasing. We look forward to many inquiries! Dean Davis Productions did an excellent job for minimum cost, and we can confidently recommend Dean to anyone wanting to produce such a video.

TreePOSTERS

Tree Poster - this is one of two posters being produced, funded by the Good Shepherd Sisters. It is slowly becoming a reality. We hope the final product will be a powerful and helpful tool towards education and awareness of consequences of land clearing.

Water Poster - we are still very much in the initial stages of designing this poster. Its need has been highlighted recently with the rapid growth of life-threatening blue-green algae in Moreton Bay.

BANNERS

Two banners have been made for use in raising consciousness. One is more inspirational:

PROTECT OUR TREES FOR EARTH'S CHILDREN

The other has a more political message:

QUEENSLAND - STOP UNCONTROLLED LAND CLEARING

RESOURCES

We are beginning to build up a Resource Library. From this, for a small fee + postage costs, you will be able to borrow. Current resources include:

- The Canticle to the Cosmos - a 12 part video series by Brian Swimme. Each video runs for about 50 minutes and comes with a Study Guide. It is envisaged that videos will be borrowed one at a time only.

- Landline - A 20 minute ABC video which shows a Salinity Audit of the Murray-Darling River system.

- The Talk of Australia - Radio National: 2 tapes - INSIGHTS - Thomas Berry with Paul Collins.

Please contact the Social Action Office for more information on any of the above.
